scottydog Posted November 5, 2013 Report Share Posted November 5, 2013 We use SoCal ratings, which gives us 186 with spinnaker. Some regions are a bit lower. North Carolina's base rate seems to be 186 ODR, 180 PHRF. You might get 5-10 points added for non spin, in the 190-200 range. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

USA440 Posted April 25, 2014 Report Share Posted April 25, 2014 Here in middle Indiana, ECSC, ODR is 183, PHRF in ODR trim 183, with 155% genoa down to 177. Biggest fleets are WE.eve. in dying breeze. J/24's @174, Merit 25's @171, S2 7.9's @168. Unless its blowing pretty good, a J/22 needs a genoa to stay near the front. In a good blow a J/22 will eat up a J/24 downwind with a spinnaker. Every body here carry's a mounted motor out of the water. Needed to get back to the hot dogs and beer. Good Luck.
