Thanks. That’s what I thought but I guess I was hoping for an easier way.

The ball bearings in my traveler are toast and I need to replace them. Do I have to remove the track from the seats to get at them? Boat is far from me to check.

D2.2 (a)(vi)
Oversized backer plates, up to 60,000 square mm, may be added to the forward side of the main bulkhead. Up to 5 additional bolts through the bulkhead and the backer plate may be added in order to better spread the load to the bulkhead.

Thanks for the response.
Oddly the holes in the bar are like 1/32 of an inch too small so we’ll need to fins someone with an industrial drill press to enlarge the hole if we want to use this one, But I’d feel better using the bar over the single point lift.

Earlier this year I bought a J/22 and it came with both a single point ring for the aft keel boat, and a lifting bar to span the aft 2 keel bolts. However, the aft bolt is considerably longer to accommodate the single point ring. In order to use the lifting bar I would need to remove the nuts from the keel bolts, place the bar on the bolts, and then the nuts on top.
Is that the intended design? Or do I really need a new, longer keel bolt?
Note the boat uses the older bar (pre #1263)

There is a boat for sale on FB Marketplace and the owners removed a pushpit/pulpit/stanchions so I bet they would be willing to sell them separately.

There was a survey sent to the class recently (in the last month or so), and one of the questions was about devices such as the Vakros 2. I do not believe it is class legal. The anemometer is not class legal.
Relevant sections in the Class Rules are (emphasis added)
C.5.3 Optional
(a) FOR USE WHILE RACING
(i) Electronic or mechanical timing devices, but not capable of providing any other tactical or navigation information, except as provided in (iv), below.
(ii) At least one compass, either magnetic card or digital type capable of instantaneous readout and heading trend information, but not capable of providing any other tactical or navigation information, except as provided in (iv), below. The compass may be GPS- enabled, but shall not give location information.
(iii) At least one instrument capable of giving speed through the water, or over the bottom, but not capable of providing any other tactical or navigation information, except as provided in (iv), below. The speed instrument may be GPS-enabled, but shall not give location information.
(iv) Instruments providing a combination of the functions of (i), (ii) and/or (iii) above but not capable of providing any other tactical or navigation information.
C.7.3. FITTINGS – OPTIONAL
(a) FOR USE WHILE RACING
(vi) Any non-electronic wind indicator may be positioned in the masthead, sail and/or rigging.
