Hull #733. Lying in Annapolis at AYC. Very fast boat with an excellent pedigree--4th in the 2004 worlds. The good: includes two sets of North Sails (one in decent condition) and a set of old Quantums, Karls tiller, ronstan turnbuckles, all new (2010) running rigging, tent cover new in 2009, road-ready trailer is in excellent shape with built-in ladder/mast brace, bottom is in excellent shape. The bad: boat suffered a forward bulkhead failure resulting in a dis-masting. The rig was quickly recovered and is in good condition, with the only visible damage to the rig showing on the port spreader. But it will require new standing rigging as the existing wire has been bent due to the dis-masting. The forward bulkhead will require total replacement and the boat suffered damage to the deck around the starboard chainplate and to the mast-step area. I am asking $4,500 for the boat. The damage estimate is around $6-7k for a complete repair, so for $10-11k, you can have an almost new boat; or if you do it yourself, you can get it done for a whole lot less. We are expecting a child in October, so my time is at a premium these days forcing the sale. Contact Brian for photos or any details at 410-353-6099 or briancwood@gmail.com.

1. is the boat still available.
2. what caused the bulkhead failure? How common is this kind of failure - I've never heard of such!
