I've got a copy of the Quantum J22 Tuning guide and will be using their rig tensions for at least a starting point. The question is, do you put on any Backstay before tensioning the shrouds? The answer is likley no, but I thought I would ask just to get other opinions.

The backstay should be attached, but without any tension.
